Lotus has finally introduced their version of beauty glow cream or something very similar to BB/CC creams which are available in plenty in the Indian market. It is a multipurpose crème with various benefits as promised in the packaging. I was quite blown over by the shocking pink packaging which is every girl's favorite. With winter approaching, I try out every possible BB/CC cream with safe brands to keep the skin hydrated and also add a certain glow without being afraid of getting my skin oily in the process. Lotus is one of the brands I trust blindly as it never breaks me out and works well for me. Read on to know more about the newest launch by Lotus Herbals.

My Experience With Lotus Make-Up Xpress Glow 10-In-1 Daily Beauty Crème SPF 25:

The packaging is adorable and eye catching. It comes in a pink tube with a shiny silver screw cap without any mess or fuss. The opening is a nice thin nozzle which helps you to control the flow of the product efficiently and saves you from the trouble of excess pumping. I have travelled twice or thrice with it and it never caused any problem to me. Overall, I liked the packaging to the core.

The crème has a creamy consistency with a mousse like texture. It blends effortlessly on the skin without any help from expert tools and damp sponges. With an aroma of scent, it is not bothering to the nose at all. In fact, it gives quite a refreshing touch in the morning. It comes in three shades for now – light, medium and dark for deeper complexions. Although, we can opine that the shade collection is low but for a regular beauty crème it serves the purpose pretty well. I randomly picked up the shade X1 which suits my tanned NC 32 pretty well without looking ashy or unnatural.

The texture is extremely light and, therefore, I literally feel nothing on the skin. It has made several promises of hiding imperfections and dark spots in various ways, but it did very little. It can only hide imperfections when you layer it with a concealer underneath. Otherwise, it simply brightens the tone lightly. The dark spots were perfectly visible even after applying two layers of the crème on my skin. It does act like a primer for my eyelids as well when I am opting for heavy makeup than usual. One of the best features I love about this crème is that it effectively brightens up my complexion providing a nice radiance without the ashy fair look.
It has SPF 25 which is quite good for a beauty crème but if you're going to stay out for longer, I suggest you apply a nice layer of sunscreen beforehand. It promises to hydrate the skin which is quite true. As the weather makes my skin a little dry than usual, I simply apply this cream as a moisturizer cum beauty crème. Oily skin during summer or humid weather cannot wear this, but it will be a good option for combination to dry skin. The price is totally apt for the crème and easily available across the stores by now.

  1. Lotus Herbals & Neutrogena both come up with awesome skin care products. Good to know this works well too.
