By now you all must be aware of my oily acne prone skin. The summers are something I really dread as there are high chances that my skin breaks out. First, it starts with tiny zits which turn into a dreadful pimple followed by breakouts. However, this summer I was extremely careful and used the "Homemade Spot Treatment for Acne" the moment I saw the tiny zits appearing. Acne is mainly caused due to the bacteria and sebum formulation inside the pores and if not controlled in the initial stages, chances are that you will end up with acne marks all over the face. I follow this easy-peasy spot treatment at home and it has brought me some really good results. Here're the details about this DIY.

Ingredients Used:
  • Honey
  • Cinnamon (Grounded)
  • Lemon
  • Sanitized Cotton Swab

Benefits Of The Ingredients:

Honey: It has antibacterial and anti-fungal properties. Honey has vitamin B2, B3, and B5 benefits. Honey is also completely a natural and chemical-free solution used widely for treating acne.

Cinnamon (Grounded): Cinnamon is a great healing tool used both internally and externally. It de-clogs pores and helps in drying out acne. It also helps in blood circulation.

Lemon: Lemon juice lightens pigmentation. It has the ability to control oil. The citric acid in it acts to exfoliate the skin, an important step in treating acne.

Steps Involved:

In a clean bowl, squeeze approximately 1 tablespoon of lemon juice.

Next, add the grounded/powdered cinnamon and mix well to soak it.

Add 2 tablespoons of honey and mix it thoroughly with the help of sanitized cotton swab.

Voila! Your spot treatment for acne is ready.

Directions For Use:

Apply it on the areas where you have tiny zits or acne forming and keep it for around an hour. If you have the T-Zone acne problem, you can apply all over the T-Zone and keep it for an hour. Wash off gently with cold water but do not scrub the area roughly. Do this every day and see the decrease in the acne formation easily.
