Although eyeliners have been in the makeup industry for far too long, we neglected them a lot after the emergence of felt liner and pencil ones. Liquid liners are very precise and look very neat. My eyes have pretty bad wrinkles and, therefore, liquid liner with a brush works better than felt liners. This time, I received Gala Of London Liquidline Eyeliner Black in my haul and was experimenting with it a lot for the crazy graphic winged eyeliner styles. The trend is so captivating that I literally got hooked on to the liquid liners all over again. Read on to know about my experience with the product.

About Gala Of London Liquidline Eyeliner Black:

My Experience With Gala Of London Liquidline Eyeliner Black:

Packaging: The liner comes in glass packaging with a plastic black screw cap that has the applicator attached. Although the liner is totally lightweight and travel-friendly, a lot of necessary information wasn't written anywhere, not even on their official website. The basic amount, expiry date, and ingredients list were not mentioned anywhere. It only has the manufacture date and shade name on the packaging. I feel the packaging could have been slightly better.
Applicator: I am hugely disappointed with the applicator. It is damaged from the roots and weirdly slant. The bristles are completely uneven which you can see it from the swatches. There is no use of it as you cannot draw a proper line. For the eye swatches, I have used Vega Eye Liner brush. This makes the product not eligible for touch ups as you have to carry a liner brush all the time.

Shade: The shade is pitch black and undoubtedly beautiful. It has no shimmer or glitters and hence can be used daily. It gives a matte look and the intense color is also seen after it dries off on the lids.
Pigmentation: The pigmentation is good and single layer gives a good color pay off. Still, for that long lasting effective results, I use the second layer. The pigmentation is even and definitely not patchy which is great when you are in a rush.
Texture: The texture is semi-runny and I feel it is perfect. It is very easy to apply, comes off in the liner brush properly and doesn't streak or look uneven at all even when layered once. The liner, however, takes forever to dry on the lids and so there are high chances that you may smudge it. When I first swatched it, it took around 15 minutes to dry. After drying, it looks fine and doesn't feel uncomfortable.

Formula: The eyeliner looks wet and creamy initially. After it sets and dries up completely, it looks matte – pure matte without any hint of sheen. So, if you love sheen finish, you would be disappointed but personally speaking, I love the matte texture. The matte formula is good as it doesn't crumble or make the eyelids wrinkle. Sadly, it isn't waterproof at all and starts leaking with the slightest drop of water. This version is also available in water resistant formula as well. It is smudge proof and stays put until I remove it.
Staying Power: The eyeliner stays around 5-6 hours and after that starts fading slightly. It is very easy to remove and comes off with soapy water as well.

Pros Of Gala Of London Liquidline Eyeliner Black:
  • Jet black eyeliner with no shimmers.
  • Right texture.
  • Matte finish.
  • Doesn't dry out the lids or feels uncomfortable.
  • Good color pay-off with single swipe.
  • Smudge-proof.
  • Good staying power of 5-6 hours.
  • Reasonable price.

Cons Of Gala Of London Liquidline Eyeliner Black:
  • Insufficient packaging details.
  • Horrible applicator brush.
  • Not waterproof at all.

3/5

Final Note:

The liner is average but to be good, it has to improve in a lot of areas. The packaging and applicator should be proper and user-friendly. Overall, the quality is decent but there are better liners in the market, so I wouldn't recommend using it.

  2. The liner is a deep black. But I can see that the brush is bad in the photo itself.
