Colorbar Pro has taken out a four nail enamel series some time before where it has four summery neon colors to perk up the nails. Neon colors are extremely fun to play with and it instantly lifts the mood. The idea of four cute bottles in a packaging is something delightful. I have always wanted to try out the Colorbar Pro series but a single nail paint costs a bit too much and, therefore, I never did. This time, I received a set of 4 nail enamels in my Diva Likes haul and I was so happy to try them individually. Today, I am going to review the shade "Pink Lady" from their collection. Scroll down for more details.

Directions For Use:

One Stroke application: Apply wider by applying light pressure on the bottom and stroke lightly up.

My Experience With Colorbar Pro Pop Heart Mini Collection Pink Lady:

Packaging: The nail enamel comes in an enclosed cardboard box with separate compartments. The bottle is round, made of glass with a sleek black screw cap that has the applicator attached. You can either carry the bottles together or individually and are undoubtedly fuss free, lightweight and completely travel-friendly.
Applicator: The applicator brush is tiny just like the bottle. Personally, I love the long slender handles but these cute littles ones are good for an applicator. The bristles are soft, uneven and give a streak free coating. It is good for both short and long nails.

Shade: The shade is bright neon pink with slight coral undertones under artificial light. The color is slightly loud and screams 'fun' with every coat. It is an apt color for the upcoming spring and summer. To tone down the brightness of the color, you can easily mix and match. It looks good on fair to medium skin tones but dusky skin tones might not prefer it.
Pigmentation: This is where everything starts going downhill. Even after three thick coats (as you can see the swatches), you would still see the nail border. I kept on layering but it hardly shows up. To build the pigmentation, you have to apply a white nail color underneath to make the color pop.
Texture: The consistency is extremely runny. I tried giving thicker coats but it used to slide down from my nails. Therefore, you have to wait for a layer to dry up and then go for another. Hence, it is extremely time-consuming. I believe they could have built up a better consistency.

Formula: The color dries up giving a coat of sheen to the nails. I would not call it glossy or gel like texture but a very thin film of polish. It is DBP, Toluene and Formaldehyde free and, therefore, won't stain the nails at all.
Staying Power: The staying power is around 3-4 days and after that the color starts chipping. It performs better with a white layer underneath and a top coat if you want to make the color long lasting.

Pros Of Colorbar Pro Pop Heart Mini Collection Pink Lady:
  • Cute little, lightweight and travel-friendly packaging.
  • Nice applicator.
  • A bright neon pink with slight coral undertones under artificial light.
  • Gives a very thin film of polish after drying.
  • DBP, Toluene, and Formaldehyde free.
  • Staying power is 3-4 days intact.

Cons Of Colorbar Pro Pop Heart Mini Collection Pink Lady:
  • Runny consistency.
  • Poor pigmentation.
  • Time-consuming to apply.

Diva Likes Rating:

3/5

Final Note:

I didn't prefer the quality of the nail color much as it takes a lot of effort to build the pigmentation and the texture is runny too. However, it can be made better underneath a white layer. Therefore, if you love neon, you can go for it.
