Today I'm here with the review of MUA Makeup Academy Matte Lipstick in Peachy Keen. MUA Makeup Academy is a UK based drugstore brand that has an amazing range of makeup products. I don't know why their products are so expensive in India whereas in UK they cost just a few pounds. Their job is commendable because being a cruelty-free brand; they sell their products at such low price tags. That is something worth appreciating. I am desperately waiting for my sister to come down from UK so that I can hand over my MUA Makeup Academy products haul list. Coming to today's post, peach is a color that I drool over and the matte base is my love when it comes to lipsticks. So peach color in a matte base is the reason I picked up MUA Makeup Academy Matte Lipstick in Peachy Keen. Read further to know more.

My Experience With MUA Makeup Academy Matte Lipstick Peachy Keen:

MUA Makeup Academy Matte Lipstick in Peachy Keen comes in a white packaging. It has the name of the brand printed in silver and a sticker bearing shade name. You will find a tiny container at the base of the lipstick wherein there is a small amount of product. It makes it easy to identify amongst a lot of lipsticks. I am contented with the packaging. They have put in so much effort in this lipstick. In totality, the packaging looks very cute.

Peachy Keen has a sweet toffee kind of smell. It wears off pretty fast after applying and is not at all an issue for the sensitive nose. The shade appears to be the perfect salmon peach color which I wanted. When I swatched it, I was more than happy to find the perfect shade I had been searching for. But on applying, it is like a peach with bubblegum pink undertones. It has peach tones too, but somehow my lens couldn't capture that tone. But whatever it is, the shade looks very pretty especially for daytime and it is going to be a great companion for smokey eyes.

Coming to the pigmentation, you need 2-3 swipes to show the color depending on your lips. If you have pigmented lips, you may need some more swipes. Thankfully even though it is a matte lipstick you need not keep on dragging it to show up the color. It is quite moisturizing as well. The texture is not completely matte but with light a creamy finish. You need not reapply it for at least 2-3 hours. One thing that disappointed me is that it starts flaking if your lips are not exfoliated properly. So exfoliate your lips, smear some lip balm, then apply this lipstick and you are good to go.

Pros Of MUA Makeup Academy Matte Lipstick Peachy Keen:
  • Cute and easily identifiable packaging.
  • Pretty peachy pink color.
  • Moisturizing though it is a matte lipstick.
  • Stays on for 2-3 hours.
  • Easily available online.

Cons Of MUA Makeup Academy Matte Lipstick Peachy Keen:
  • Quite expensive in India.
  • Can start flaking if lips are not exfoliated.

Diva Likes Rating:

3.5/5

Final Note:

MUA Makeup Academy Matte Lipstick in Peachy Keen is a perfect pastel color for summers though I am going to wear it all round the year as I love the peach color. I wish I could get it from UK in just 1 pound. In that case, I would have collected all of them. It is a pretty peachy pink color that is quite moisturizing and comes in a cute packaging. All in all, I love this shade as I am more into light colors when it comes to lipsticks.
