Hello, beautiful friends! Finally, I am trying all the products I received from Diva Likes in my Luxola beauty haul. This time I have some amazing stuff from high end brands which I will be reviewing in the coming days. Today I am going to review Wet n Wild MegaSlicks Lip Gloss in Sun Glaze shade. This is my first ever lip gloss as I am more of a matte lipstick person. I have never tried wearing a lip gloss and this is the first in my vanity. Wet n Wild is relatively a popular brand for their affordable and good quality makeup products. It's hardly available in India, but thanks to Luxola we can now get these products in India too. So without any further delay let's head to the review to know more about it.

About Wet n Wild MegaSlicks Lip Gloss Sun Glaze:

My Experience With Wet n Wild MegaSlicks Lip Gloss Sun Glaze:

Packaging: The lip gloss comes in a very basic tube form like most other lip glosses. It has a metallic cap. The wand inside is basically a doe foot applicator. The doe foot applicator makes the gloss easy to use as it is neither too large nor too small. The wand is soft and glides without any tug or pull. The packaging is basic, simple and easy to carry.

Texture & Smell: The texture of the lip gloss is thick and creamy. I thought it would be runny, but it's more on the dry side. You have to take the wand inside out a number of times to take out the product. It does not feel sticky at all. You don't feel as if you are wearing something heavy on your lips. It also moisturizes the lips like it claims but I would suggest using a lip balm underneath otherwise it may accentuate flakiness. Coming to the smell, it smells like sweet white chocolate. The smell is not at all overpowering and will gradually fade away.
Shade: Sun Glaze is a pinkish nude shade with hints of lilac color. It is in a frosty base. I feel the frost is too much. On my lips, it gives a lilac frosty finish with color that is barely visible. I find the color in the tube and my lips to be totally different. Like most other lip glosses, it's not very shiny. I wish the frost was less in this. I can hardly wear it on bare lips. It would look fine over a lipstick, especially in night events.

Pigmentation: The pigmentation is nice. With one coat, you have light flush of color and with two coats, the color comes out really well. On pigmented lips, more than two coats may be needed to bring out the actual color behind the frostiness.
Staying Power: After application, it stays on for an hour without any meal or snack. But after that, the gloss is barely visible and what is left is just patchy lips. You need to reapply it if you have a meal otherwise it stays for an hour or so.

Pros Of Wet n Wild MegaSlicks Lip Gloss Sun Glaze:
  • Easy to carry packaging.
  • Nice doe foot applicator for ease of application.
  • The gloss does not dry the lips.
  • The smell is not chemical like most other glosses.
  • Thick and creamy texture.
  • Decently pigmented.

Cons Of Wet n Wild MegaSlicks Lip Gloss Sun Glaze:
  • The product tends to accumulate at the mouth of the tube.
  • Poor staying power.
  • Too much frostiness makes it less wearable.

Diva Likes Rating:

3/5

Final Note:

I would skip this gloss in future mainly because of the frostiness. If it would have been less frosty, I would have definitely recommended it at least to be used on top of a lipstick. Apart from this con, it's a nice product. Unlike any other gloss, it moisturizes lips and is not too runny in consistency. Maybe the other shades from this range are less frosty and worth trying.
