I am never satisfied with the eyeliners I have in my makeup kitty. I have few colored liners but nothing can take the place of a good black eyeliner. So I keep purchasing black eyeliners. After getting Eyeconic blue I thought of getting myself a good black eye pencil which would work well in this hot climate. When I was browsing online, I came across Diana Of London Eye & Lip Liner Pencil Arabian Nights and thought of trying it. This is my first purchase from this brand. I got attracted to the name Arabian Nights. The weird part is that it is written as an eye and lip pencil but I couldn't use it on my lips as it was black.

For a thin line gently glide liner along your lower and upper lash lines. To build a thicker line, add three to four lines to your original application.

My Experience With Diana Of London Eye & Lip Liner Pencil Arabian Nights:

The eyeliner comes in a traditional wooden pencil form with a golden cap covering it. The eyeliner need to be sharpened every time you use it to get a sharp tip because of which the product gets wasted a lot. Retractable eyeliners are much easier to work with. The texture of the eyeliner is soft enough to draw smooth lines without any tug or pull. The pigmentation is very nice. I did not expect it to be so pigmented. It is a rich black eyeliner. I was not sure of using it on my waterline but surprisingly it did not sting at all. It claims of being smudge proof but it definitely does not deliver its claims. It smudges a lot on my oily eyelids. I can use it on my waterline as a kajal but definitely not as eyeliner on my upper eyelids. It stays on my waterline for a good 3-4 hours after that starts fading. On my upper eyelid it hardly stays on for 2 hours. The tip gets fat in just one application and you need to resharpen it again. Overall it is average eyeliner for me given at this price there are many other better performing eyeliners available in the market. I just couldn't think of using it as a lip liner as it is dark black in color. Hence I cannot comment on how it works as a lip liner.

Pros Of Diana Of London Eye & Lip Liner Pencil Arabian Nights:
  • Rich intense black shade
  • Does not sting on waterline
  • Affordably priced
  • Good for using as a kajal on waterline and tightlining
  • Opthalmologically tested

Cons Of Diana Of London Eye & Lip Liner Pencil Arabian Nights:
  • Claims of being smudge proof but smudges fast and gives raccoon eyes
  • Wooden pencil type need to be sharpened a lot resulting in product wastage
  • Not suitable as a lip liner pencil as it is quite dark

Diva Likes Rating:

3.5/5

Final Note:

I would conclude that this is an average product good for tightlining but smudges a lot if used on the eyelid. It has a nice intense color but given the price there are many other good options available in the market. It says of containing vitamin E to protect skin around lips but I just couldn't use it on my lips because of its black color.
