Kareena Kapoor Khan has always been in the news for her exquisite fashion sense and every time she walked the ramp or decked up for any event, she gave us some serious fashion goals. Well, this time, she walked proudly with her baby bump on the Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) Winter/Festive 2016. She walked for designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee and her appearance was nothing less than regal.
Kareena and actor Saif Ali Khan are expecting their first child by the end of this year. Whenever an actress is pregnant or in the post-pregnancy state, the attention of the media drives towards the weight gain, baby bump, etc. and one is often expected to stay back at home. However, Kareena being the powerful woman she is, showed the world how she cherished her work, the celebration of motherhood and femininity. She quoted that, "I was happy and confident. A pregnant woman can walk and fly and for me, it's absolutely normal. When it comes to my work, acting is my passion and I will work till I die. As long as I am doing what I love, I am going to do that." Well, the media being a critic speculated about the impact of pregnancy on her career but she responded gracefully by stating that she will work just like she used to do that before.
She further stated that this edition of Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) Winter/Festive 2016 was immensely emotional for her as she walked the ramp along with her unborn child. For the show, she wore a beautiful bridal-wear from Sabyasachi Mukherjee's collection. The whole grandeur and elegance of the grey lehenga and heavily embroidered kurti embellished with gold threadwork was as splendid as it could be. Her makeup was very radiant representing the 'illuminate collection' of Lakme. She kept the eyes and lips minimal but slightly shimmery and wore only a 'maangtika' as the jewelry. With that, she proudly posed and showed off her baby bump as well.
Just not a grand ramp walk, Kareena also attended various events in the past few months while sporting her baby bump. One of the recent events was the BBlunt's Salon Secret launch, where she was seen sporting a very soothing pastel outfit. She wore a cute off shoulder pastel light blue dress along with silver colored heels and blow dried hair. Her baby bump was fairly understandable and we loved the way she carried herself.
Just not flowy or girly dresses, she was seen donning a glamorous outfit by Philipp Plein. She recently attended an event wearing a black dress with floor length and side slit with gorgeous on the neckline and waist. She paired this with shoes by Jimmy Choo. Her makeup was the typical Kareena Kapoor smoky eyes and neutral lips. She looked drop dead gorgeous in every way!
Thus, she is clearly enjoying her pregnancy period and redefining the rules of fashion. Her skin particularly has been radiant and glossy and we can't wait to see her again on the silver screen in her upcoming film 'Veere Di Wedding'.
