The no-makeup look is the toughest one so far I have done. Initially, when the trend came up and everyone was trying out, I was excited to try it out as well. Well, truth be told, I failed miserably the first 2-3 times. It is seriously not easy to not wear makeup, hide the blemishes and still look like your own skin. After trying many times, I have learnt that the key to looking flawless and not made-up is to blend and keep on blending until it looks like your skin. Also, you won't have to go overboard with concealer or highlighter to look fresh because it's ok to have slight dark circles or acne marks. Another thing which works best is baking. So, let's see how I have created the no-makeup dewy look.

Steps Involved:

Eye Makeup

Products Used:
  • Lacto Calamine Skin Balance Oil Control
  • Kryolan TV Paint Stick Foundation
  • Lakme Rose Powder
  • Freedom Makeup London Mono Eyeshadow 202
  • Coloressence Vibgyor Matte Eye Shade EM-4
  • Lakme Eyeconic Kajal – Brown
  • Freedom Makeup London Stunning Smokes Pro 12 Eyeshadow
  • Maybelline Hypercurl Volum' Express Mascara

For the hydrating base, I have used Lacto Calamine Skin Balance Oil Control to apply on the eyes and face as the primer cum moisturizer.

For the under eyes, I have applied the Kryolan TV Paint Stick Foundation with my fingertips and blended it profusely. Since I have terrible dark circles, they need a heavy duty concealer. I have further applied Lakme Rose Powder in an excessive amount with a brush. I kept the power for around 5-10 minutes to bake it for better coverage.

For the lids, I have applied Freedom Makeup London Mono Eyeshadow 202 as a natural even tone.

Then, I filled the eyebrows very lightly using the Coloressence Vibgyor Matte Eye Shade EM-4 to look as natural as possible.

I generally use thick black kohl for eyes but this makeup look, I choose to tight line the eyes with a brown kajal which looks very natural and well made. I have tight lined both the upper and lower waterline to define the eyes.

With my fingers, I took a deep champagne color from the Freedom Makeup London Stunning Smokes Pro 12 Eyeshadow Palette and simply dabbed a bit on the eyelids to take away the flat beige look.

I also added a light highlighting color from the same palette and highlighted the brow bone but very lightly.

Lastly, I finished off the look with a coat of mascara using Maybelline Hypercurl Volum' Express Mascara. This is the first time I am using this mascara and was slightly disappointed because I was expecting a little volume rather than length. Now, the eyes are done.

Lip Makeup

Products Used:
  • Faces Canada I Do #11 Ultime Pro Velvet Matte Lipstick
  • Colorbar Definer Lip Liner Splendid Pink
  • Lip Brush

I have defined the lips with Colorbar Definer Lip Liner Splendid Pink and filled them slightly. Then, with the help of a lip brush, I applied the Faces Canada I Do #11 Ultime Pro Velvet Matte Lipstick to give a natural flush of pink to the lips.

Face Makeup

Products Used:
  • Lacto Calamine Skin Balance Daily Nourishing Lotion – Oil Control
  • Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation 230 & 310
  • Faces Ultime Pro MetaliGlow Champagne
  • Sivanna Highlight Powder Highlighter (Pearl 03)
  • Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge

I applied the Lacto Calamine Skin Balance Daily Nourishing Lotion – Oil Control all over the face for the foundation to glide and blend smoothly. I let it be for 5-6 minutes to absorb well.
Then, with the help of fingers, I mixed the two shades (230 & 310) of Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation and applied all over the face. Next, I blended the foundation taking my sweet time with the help of the damp Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge. This step is very important for the whole look as you have to blend until it looks natural.

To add the dewy look, I have applied Faces Ultime Pro MetaliGlow Champagne on the cheek bones (high points below the eyes), temples (above the arch of the eyebrow), bridge of the nose and chin. This metal glow is very sheer and to magnify the effect I dabbed the damp Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge on the Sivanna Highlight Powder Highlighter and applied on the same points again.

Voila! The Dewy No-Makeup Makeup Look is done.
