Finally its monsoon here and I am thoroughly enjoying the much-awaited relief from scorching heat. Monsoon calls for romance, yummy snacks and cozying up in the couch with your favorite music on. Paradise is this! Since everything comes with its own set of pros and cons, the weather conditions are no different. Monsoon comes with water borne diseases and disaster for your hair and skin. I personally don't like getting wet in the rain. When I was a kid, my mom used to scare me by saying that if I get wet in the rain, I will get lice in the hair so that I stay away from the rains. Since then I have developed a habit of prevention is better than cure. Recently I wanted to get a new hair oil for myself since I love massaging my hair with oil. That is when I found Khadi Henna & Thyme Ayurvedic Hair Tonic. Sometimes I become a foolish shopper. I actually thought this to be oil without even noticing the word tonic in its name. Hair Oil and Tonic are two different things. It is only when I received this product that I realized it is a hair tonic. Anyways, what's the harm in trying something new and I will be reviewing this product today.

My Experience With Khadi Henna & Thyme Ayurvedic Hair Tonic:

Khadi Henna & Thyme Ayurvedic Hair Tonic come in a regular plastic bottle. It has a black flip open cap that can also be opened as a screw cap. The bottle is nothing fancy but a simple one that seems to come from an herbal products manufacturing unit. The bottle is quite sturdy and leak proof as well. The hair tonic appears brown in color from the outside but actually it's more of golden yellow. It has an awful smell which is completely herbal. It smells like beer which is so bothering at the nose. Since it is a water based product, the consistency is same as water. It is very runny and forms a light foam when you rub it between your palms. It gives a cooling sensation on the scalp which might be because of the presence of mint in it.

My hair feels wet while applying but dries after few minutes. It doesn't feel as if you have applied anything on your hair. I mainly concentrate the use of it on scalp only. Since I am a person who loves full fledged hair oil massage, this doesn't seem to satisfy me. So I apply my other hair oil on the rest of the hair ends. Post washing, my hair feels conditioned as it has henna in it. It feels soft and smooth as well. It has reduced my dandruff problem a bit. There is less flakiness from the time I have started using it. Now coming to hair regrowth, I cannot comment much because I don't have any such problem. For hair fall, I think it is working well on that because I am also using Trichup Hair Fall Control Cream. But I cannot exactly determine how much this one is contributing for it. Overall this is an average product which is best used alongside your hair oil.

Pros Of Khadi Henna & Thyme Ayurvedic Hair Tonic:
  • Comes from a complete ayurvedic brand.
  • Has a noticeable ingredients list.
  • Completely free of parabens and mineral oil.
  • Soothes the scalp and gives a cooling sensation.
  • Has helped in reducing dandruff a bit.
  • Hair seems conditioned after washing.

Cons Of Khadi Henna & Thyme Ayurvedic Hair Tonic:
  • Awful fragrance of herbs.
  • Can only be used on the scalp. So you need separate oil for the rest of your hair.
  • Average and uninteresting packaging.

Diva Likes Rating:

3/5

Final Note:

If you are suffering from hair loss problems then this hair tonic can be given a try as it comes from a well-known brand and has an amazing list of ingredients. Moreover, it's completely parabens and mineral oil free and so it's not going to add any chemicals to your hair. It provides a cooling sensation to the scalp and also reduces dandruff with due course of use. It conditions the hair post wash. If you are someone who loves the feeling of oil sitting on your hair then this one is not a great choice. I use a different hair oil for my hair ends.
