If I look into my stash of eye shadows, all I can find is black, blue and brown colors. I am extremely fond of smokey eyes and dark colors is all I desire. When I found out that I was sent a golden eye shadow stick by Diva Likes, I thought this is my golden opportunity to try something beyond dark shades. Though I was slightly disappointed with the Coloressence kajal pencil, I was looking forward to this product with all my hopes. So let's find out whether it was a disappointment or amazing!

My Experience With Coloressence Pearl Effect Eye Shadow Antique Gold:

Packaging: The eye shadow stick comes in a retractable pencil with a transparent cap. The packaging is extremely travel-friendly and easy to use. As the pencil is retractable, there is no product wastage in sharpening.
Shade: The shade is a soft golden with the pearl effect and has micro-shimmers present in it. The shimmers are not messy at all. The shade is extremely nice and bridal in nature. The golden shade would suit most of the skin tones, especially Indian skin tones.
Texture & Fragrance: There is absolutely no fragrance at all. So the sensitive nose people need not worry. The texture is smooth and I can smoothly apply on the eye lids without any tugging or pulling.

Pigmentation: The pigmentation is average. Two swipes are required to get the desired color. However, the color comes out quite nicely if primer is used underneath. I have pigmented eyelids and so it takes several swipes for the color to come out for me.
Staying Power: The color does cease a little if the primer is not used underneath. The color stays on my eyes for a good 4-5 hours if a base/primer is used. I often use this eye shadow to create a golden smokey eye or brown smokey eyes.
