Hello girls! It is summer now and its the time to show off your feet in those seductive strapy sandals and bright colored flip flops. Nobody likes ill maintained, badly tanned feet with cracked heels. So if you want to have beautiful looking feet, it is time that you start with a proper foot care regimen. I am here with a simple DIY of foot scrub for all the beauties out there. It is easy to make as all the ingredients are something we use at home. So, let's get started.

Why should you scrub your feet?

Just like every other part of the body, your feet also need some pampering and care. Every time you step out, you expose your feet to sun, dust and a number of germs. They bear all the weight of your body and make you look stylish by flaunting those stylish heels for you. They deserve some attention. Don't they?
Exfoliation is a method of removing the top most layer of dead, non-vital skin on your feet and reveal a fresh layer that looks healthy and less tanned. Also, your heels tend to get hardened if you do not exfoliate them with a foot file or a pumice stone. The frequency of using a foot scrub depends on you. If you ask me, I would recommend at least twice a week. It is best if you apply this foot scrub after you have dipped your feet in a tub containing some rock salt and diluted milk. This makes the scrubbing even more easy and effective.

Why a Homemade Foot Scrub?
  • It is practical and economical.
  • You can do it right at the comfort of your home.
  • No chemicals and preservatives.

Things You Will Need:
  • Granular sugar
  • Coconut oil
  • Coffee powder

Procedure:

Add granular sugar and coffee in a bowl. Sugar is an excellent exfoliant which works great for feet and also gives a nice massaging effect. Coffee helps in removing the tan from feet. It has anti-oxidant properties and also makes your feet smell lovely.

Follow this up by adding coconut oil. This helps in forming a paste and acts as an excellent moisturizer for feet. It makes the skin appear well nourished and healthy.

That's it. Your homemade foot scrub is ready to use.

Directions For Use:

Massage this onto your feet while taking shower. Concentrate on stubborn areas like ankles and heels. Wash off with luke warm water. Pat dry and apply a foot cream. Do not forget to apply sunscreen while stepping out in sun.

I hope this DIY is useful to you all. Enjoy happy feet!
