My Experience With Maybelline The Falsies Volum' Express Waterproof Mascara
The mascara comes in a bright purple packaging with the wand attached to the long screw cap. The packaging is outstanding, takes less space, travel-friendly and eye catching in my kitty. The applicator wand is slightly curved which I find extremely easy to use as I would still call myself a beginner in mascara application. It is flexible at the end and, therefore, perfect to curl those beautiful lashes on your eyes. It is easier to work on the zig-zag motion when the wand is curved and flexible. In fact, all you have to do is flip the curved side to apply mascara on the lower lashes without spoiling the eye makeup. Overall, I loved the packaging as well as the applicator wand provided.
The consistency is semi-thick, somewhat creamy I would say. The thickness is perfect for a volume boost mascara for daily use. It also dries pretty quickly than the previous mascaras I have used so far. It doesn't smudge or transfer here and there. Speaking of the volume, it truly gives you a falsies effect on the lashes. I wouldn't call it completely dramatic but enough to make your eyes look like a diva with those cute fluttery lashes. However, if you have scarce lashes I suggest you skip this as it won't make you look too flattering.
The coating needs to be applied carefully to the lashes. Too much of layering will make the lashes stiff which is slightly disappointing for me. All you need is two proper coating of mascara and you're good to go for the whole day. For thicker lashes, use a spoolie brush to separate the lashes few seconds after the application of mascara.
The staying power is pretty good. It stayed on my eyes from 9-10 hours without any transferring at all. I bought the waterproof version and truly it is outstanding. I splashed my face every 3-4 hours but in spite of that the mascara remained intact. The removal is slightly tough but not impossible or messy if you follow proper rules. Diva Likes Rating:
This is the best mascara I have used so far. Some mascaras are really pricey and as they don't last a long time I always look for cheap drugstore ones with good quality. If you want a volume boost mascara with a budget-friendly price tag, this is the best option you can get.
