My Experience With Maybelline Baby Lips Spicy Cinnamon Spiced Up Lip Balm:

The packaging isn't much different from other baby lips version, but definitely the printing is different. It comes in a brownish plastic cylindrical stick with a twist up packaging. Overall, the packaging is small and convenient enough to fit in anywhere. It is hygienic to use and extremely light weight. The shade has a brownish tint, similar to a cinnamon stick, which looks flattering to the warm Indian skin tone. The tint is perfect – it is not too dark to be called a lipstick nor too light to not show on pigmented lips. All those who like a tint to their lip balms would love to try this out. You can also mix and match the color with plum, pink or nude shade.

The lip balm has a smell of bubblegum which is slightly overwhelming. Although I prefer it a lot, others may not like it. The texture of the lip balm is something I would like to praise all day long. It is smooth, hydrating and has all the possible qualities you would prefer to be included in your daily lip balm. It feels extremely light on the lips yet not sticky at all.
Needless to say, it hydrates and moisturizes the lips all day long. It is a great option underneath a matte lipstick to protect the lips from getting dry. It also works miraculously on my parched and flaky lips. It is equipped with SPF 20 and you can happily flaunt it out in the sun without worrying about damage.

Somehow I do feel the claim of intense moisturization for 12H is true because once I apply in on the lips early in the morning it keeps my lips nice and hydrated around 12 hours even though I have several meals in between. For winter, you might have to reapply as and when required as per you needs but it is definitely a good option for winter too.

Pros Of Maybelline Baby Lips Spicy Cinnamon Spiced Up Lip Balm:
  • Nice and sweet packaging.
  • Spiced Up Baby Lips range which consists of 3 shades custom made for Indian skin – Berry Sherbet, Tropical Punch, and Spicy Cinnamon.
  • The shade has a brownish tint which is perfect for Indian skin.
  • Shows up well on pigmented lips too but not too dark when applied underneath a lipstick.
  • Smooth, creamy and glossy texture which glides like a dream.
  • It feels extremely light on the lips yet not sticky at all.
  • SPF 20.
  • The claim of intense moisturization for 12H is true.
  • Budget-friendly.

Cons Of Maybelline Baby Lips Spicy Cinnamon Spiced Up Lip Balm:
  • None.

Diva Likes Rating:

5/5

Final Note:

Another gem of a lip balm is added to my kitty. If you want a good quality lip balm with tinted features that shows up well on pigmented lips too, you have to try this out. Every Baby Lips variant is better than before and I would love to try out the Tropical Punch next for a pinkish tint.

  1. I am not a huge fan of cinnamon but your review makes me want to try this. Does it taste like cinnamon?
