False eyelashes are something I have been aching to try for ages, but I was a bit scared that it would make me look overly dramatic. With winged and cat eyes back in fashion, falsies look quite classy. Months ago, Diva Likes sent me a pair of falsies from Ardell to try out. As an eye makeup lover, nothing could have been better for me than this. Well, the only thing that took me so long to review this little beauty is the fact that I was in desperate search for eyelash adhesive. So let's get straight to the review and see how my experience with Ardell was.

About Ardell Fashion Lashes 103 Black:

Directions For Use:

Lay lash on top of your natural lash. If it extends beyond your lash line, trim the excess with small scissors.
Squeeze a thin line of Lash Grip Adhesive along the lash band. A toothpick can be used to spread it evenly.
Wait about 30 seconds for adhesive to set.
Place the lash as close to your natural lash line as possible. Use your fingertip to gently press along the band to secure in place.

My Experience With Ardell Fashion Lashes 103 Black:

The falsies come in a transparent packaging which enables you to see the product clearly. The box, however, is not suitable for travelling at all. The 103 eyelash is a natural black eyelash that doesn't look too dramatic for eyes. If you carefully look at the bristles, you would notice that the bristles are not even and are trimmed unevenly which is similar to our natural lashes and therefore it doesn't look dramatic. I was dying to try out a winged liner for a night out and decided to wear it on that day. The lashes are extremely soft and well fitted for my eyes. But if you have small eyes, you might feel the need to trim it slightly. The eyelashes are naturally curled and the soft bristles enable you to fit onto the upper eyelash easily. If your lashes are not curled, it is mandatory to curl them or thicken them slightly with at least two coats of mascara. Otherwise, the difference might be well obvious to people.

The band of Ardell falsies is extremely thin and merges easily with the eyelids, but then there's a downside to it as well. The thin band is extremely difficult for applying adhesive as there is a great chance that it might spill over the lashes and spoil them. Therefore, you have to apply the glue holding the lashes downwards to avoid spillage. To be extremely honest, when I first wore the lashes, I felt a bit heavy but eventually I realized that one has to be totally carefree wearing them. After 4-5 usages, I was pretty confident wearing them and never felt uneasy, edgy or uncomfortable. Overall, I had a pretty awesome experience with Ardell and I would definitely say that these fashion lashes are worth every penny you spend on them. The lashes are easy to wash and retain the shape for a long time.

Pros Of Ardell Fashion Lashes 103 Black:
  • Nice and clear packaging.
  • No overly dramatic look.
  • Subtle effect.
  • Easily merges with the eyes.
  • Thinnest band.
  • Soft and easy to wash.
  • Worth the price.

Cons Of Ardell Fashion Lashes 103 Black:
  • Little difficult to travel with.
  • One needs to be careful with the glue application.
