Two things have no boundaries for me. Firstly, it is the infinite hoarding of nail paints from all possible brands and colors. Secondly, the collection of several nail color shades of blue. Basically, I am a sucker for blue nail lacquers and have developed this ruthless habit of collecting blue nail paints from every brand. So, today I am here to review another shade of blue from Elle 18. Though my previous experience with Elle 18 nail pops was not that impressive, I just could not help myself buying this cute little blue nail color. I mentally assured myself on the probability that this might turn out to be nice buy. So do you want to know whether I have changed my mind on Elle 18 nail pops? Read on to know more about it.

My Experience With Elle 18 Nail Pops Shade 53:

Packaging: The nail lacquer comes in a cute glass pot with a screw cap. The bottle is transparent to trace the shade from outside and the number is inscribed on top. Overall, it has a cute and innovative packaging.
Shade: The shade belongs to the family of blue. It is a teal based blue with greenish undertones. There is no touch of shimmer and that is why the shade looks amazingly beautiful on all the skin tones. Certainly, I would define it as praise worthy blue. This color goes well with formals for office as well.
Texture: The texture of the nail paint is creme and gives a very nice and smooth finish. The consistency of the nail is creamy as well.
Applicator Brush: Till date, among the Elle 18 brushes, I would say this is the best one. It neither streaks nor forms air bubbles and gives a decent finished look to the nails without much of a fuss.

Pigmentation: It requires 2-3 swipes to get a clean opaque look. I wished the pigmentation could have been better for such a lovely color.
Staying Power: The nail paint stays on my nails for 2-3 days with heavy household chores in between. But the poor staying power can be improved with a good top coat.
Dupes Available: MAC Salad Dresses, Orly Green With Envy Nail Lacquer, GOSH Splish Splash, OPI Nicki Minaj Fly nail polish, Water Street Blue, Sally Hansen Insta-dri Brisk Blue, Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Blue Me Away and L'Oreal Color Riche Le Vernis Nail Enamel Blue Reef 613.

Pros Of Elle 18 Nail Pops Shade 53:
  • Cute packaging.
  • A beautiful teal based blue with greenish undertones.
  • The color would suit all the skin tones.
  • It has a creme texture and gives a smooth finish.
  • Good applicator brush.
  • Reasonably priced.

Cons Of Elle 18 Nail Pops Shade 53:
  • Poor pigmentation.
  • Poor staying power.

Final Note:

Despite a lovely color, the quality isn't impressive. So if you like this color, I would suggest you to grab it as the price won't pinch your pocket at all.
