I had gone through several phases of eye makeup. When I started off with an eyeshadow, I had no clue that there's something called blending. Then I tried the smudging and blending tricks with ear buds. Yes, you read that right! When I couldn't get my hands on the brushes, all I used was sponge applicator and ear buds. Slowly I mastered the art of using various eye brushes. If you want to become a pro in eye makeup, just one or two brushes are not enough. There are different types of brushes depending on the need. Eyeshadow blending is quite a necessary step for your eye makeup and for that you require an effective brush. There was a time when MAC, Sigma, and RT brushes were out of my reach. So I had to work with Vega, Colorbar, and Faces. Today I am going to review the blending brush from Colorbar. Read on to know how it fared with me.

About Colorbar Emphaseyes Eye Blending Brush:

Playfully dramatic eyes are just a few sweeps away with this almond shaped cutie. The fat little fibers are great for sweeping brush strokes, applying all-over eye colors and blending away stark lines.

Directions For Use:

Sweep over eye-color sideways with gentle but firm strokes and blend well for an airbrushed effect. Gently clean the brush by washing with a mild shampoo and cold water, rinse and leave to air-dry.

My Experience With Colorbar Emphaseyes Eye Blending Brush:

The brush comes in a typical black and white body with orange-colored soft bristles. The brush has a flat end with dome shaped fluffy bristles with slightly dense outlook. To me, it resembles more like an almond. The dense part is not at all stubborn and is flexible upon the usage. The bristles are soft and not poky as compared to synthetic fibers.

As the name suggests, the brush helps in blending out the eyeshadow at the crease and brow bone. It does a decent job in blending the color from the crease, slowing merging the color and softening the harsh lines for the eyeshadow. One needs to be careful while blending because the brush isn't small and there's a chance of softening the eyelid color as well. I have relatively big eyes and doing the crease with this brush isn't an issue. But people with small eyes might require a petite brush for this use. For a beginner who has just started out with eye makeup, this brush is an ideal one. The brushes resemble a lot like MAC 217 which is the kind of HG brush for blending, along with a good quality. The brush also is helpful for sweeping the natural color on the brow bone and gives the feel of an airbrush. I can even use the brush as my highlighter for forehead, cupid brow and nose when I am in a hurry. I have already washed the brush several times, but there was absolutely no shedding of the bristles or the color which impressed me a lot. Very few Indian brands have decent blending brushes and for its price, this brush works really well.

Pros Of Colorbar Emphaseyes Eye Blending Brush:

Final Note:

When I was a beginner in eye makeup, blending brush was quite a useful one. But after using few high-end brushes, I hardly use this brush anymore. However, for a beginner, this is a great brush considering its price.
