Hi friends!I recently reviewed Lakme Radiance Compact on Diva Likes and mentioned about liquid foundation there. I thought I should also review the one makeup product which goes hand in hand with the compact and that is Lakme Perfecting Liquid Foundation. We usually apply liquid foundation first and then set it with compact. Though this foundation is an old product, it happens to be my recent purchase. I have tried 9 to 5 series from Lakme and loved it totally. A friend suggested me this one as it is very affordable and nice alternative from Lakme. This is a very old and reliable product which most of you would have tried at least once. For those who did not, I think this review will help.

My Experience With Lakme Perfecting Liquid Foundation In Coral:

Lakme Perfecting Liquid foundation has varying shades for different skin tones namely Pearl, Marble, Shell and Coral. Pearl and Marble are for fairer to wheatish skin tone. Shell and Coral are for medium to deeper skin tones. I bought coral as it suited my complexion best. The foundation comes in a glass bottle which is sturdy and closes tightly. But since it is glass, you need to be more cautious while carrying it. I usually carry in in small quantities by pouring a little of this foundation in a small tub. The smell of the foundation is mild and barely perceptible. The consistency is neither runny nor thick. It is somewhere in between. For application, you may either use a damp makeup sponge or your fingers. I use a sponge for application so that it spreads evenly on my skin. It gives light to medium coverage as it claims. To improve the coverage, top it with a dab of compact. Those who need heavy coverage have to use concealer. It gives a smooth and dewy to semi matte finish. It feels light on skin and also moisturizes it. The hydration it provides is enough for summers and that is probably due to presence of vitamin E. However, in winters you might need to mix it with a few drops of moisturizing lotion. This foundation lights up your face and makes your complexion appear even and bright. Its staying power is average, say around 3 hours. So, you might need a quick touch up session every now and then. I cannot compare it with 9 to 5 range but given the price it is a decent product. I have not experienced excessive oil on my combination skin while using this product due to its oil free nature. It does not have an added SPF which is a major disadvantage in summers.

Pros Of Lakme Perfecting Liquid Foundation In Coral:
  • Different shades are available for different skin tones
  • Provides medium coverage and evens out skin tone
  • Non sticky, oil free yet moisturising
  • Gives dewy to semi matte finish
  • Totally affordable
  • Mild smell

Cons Of Lakme Perfecting Liquid Foundation In Coral:
  • Chances of breakage due to glass bottle
  • Staying power is only 3 hours
  • Contains silicones and has no SPF

Diva Likes Rating:

Final Note:

It is a good product for daily usage. It is not as good as Lakme 9 to 5 range but still happens to be a good performer.
