Methi pulao is a comfort food and also one of the best lunch box option. I personally love having methi. At home, mom prepares aloo methi which is my favorite. I wanted to prepare pulao out of it. So, I tried this recipe. The taste as well as the smell of methi pulao has methi flavor and this is the best part of the pulao.


Ingredients:
  • Methi Leaves - 3 bunches
  • Tomatoes - 1(medium, chopped)
  • Onions - 1(finely chopped)
  • Green chillies - 4(finely chopped)
  • Oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Curry leaves - 6
  • Cashewnuts - 50 grams
  • Basmati rice - 1 cup
  • Water - 2 cups
  • Salt - As per taste

Preparation:

Take a pressure cooker to heat and add oil to it. Add onions, green chillies, curry leaves and cashewnuts and fry for 5 mins.


Add tomatoes and cook for another 10 mins.


Add methi leaves and cook for another 5 mins.


Add rice along with water and salt and cook for 5 mins.


Pressure cook for 3 whistles and remove from heat and serve hot.


Serving Options:

Serve the methi pulao with raita and enjoy its taste.
