Ridge Gourd Chutney
A little different from the day-to-day curries and fry items, let us have a look at ridge gourd chutney.
Ridge Gourd - 3
Green Chillies - 7
Salt - As per taste
Curry Leaves - 5
Tamarind - 30 grams
Cumin Seeds - 1 tablespoon
Garlic - 2 cloves
Oil - 1 tablespoon
Peel off the ridge gourd and cut the ridge gourd into pieces.
Take a pan to heat and add oil to it.
Add ridge gourd, green chillies, curry leaves and tamarind and cook for 20 mins till the ridge gourd gets cooked.
Remove the pan from heat and allow it to cool.
Take a blender and add these ingredients from the pan and blend to form a chutney.
Add cumin seeds, salt and crushed garlic and blend for one turn.
Remove the chutney from the blender and the ridge gourd chutney is ready to be served.
Serve the ridge gourd chutney with white rice and ghee or with dosa.
