Cocoa Powder - 1 cup
White Sugar - 2 cups
All-purpose flour/Maida - One and half cup
Baking Powder - One and half teaspooon
Baking Soda - One and half teaspoon
Butter - 2 small cubes/sticks
Eggs - 2
Vanilla Extract - 2 teaspoons
Milk - 1 cup
Hot Water - 1 cup
Salt - Half teaspoon
Preheat the oven to 175 degrees C(350 degrees F ). Take a 9 inch square pan.Grease it with butter and then flour it.
Take a bowl and pour the cocoa powder into boiling water and keep stirring till it turns smooth.
Then add flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Combine it.
Add the eggs one after the other and keep stirring. Also add milk, butter and sugar.
Beat the mixture properly so that no lumps are found. You can also use an electric mixer for this purpose.
At last, add the vanilla extract and mix the batter.
Pour this batter evenly in the pan and bake for 30 minutes in the preheated oven.
Check if the cake is baked well by using a toothpick. Cool for sometime and once cooled apply the whipped cream and store in refrigerator(Whipped cream is readily available in the market or prepared at home)
