Today I am going to talk about yet another lipstick from the Maybelline brand sent to me by Lavanya in my first Diva Likes haul. I was a person having no lipsticks at all and now I have tons of lipsticks, shades ranging from pinks to reds to oranges. There are certain shades of lipsticks which end up looking bad on you because they wash you out. This particular shade I have is pink lavender called as Playful Peony. Read on further to know whether it washes me out or not.

My Experience With Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick Playful Peony 975:

Packaging: This lipstick comes housed in a beautiful lilac plastic cap with shiny silver body. The shade name and the number are pasted at the bottom of the lipstick. It has a very sweet smell and I really like the colorful packaging. Its light weight and easy to carry around. It can be slipped into jeans pocket easily. But it would be little difficult to identify the shades from other similar colors in this range as all the lipsticks are of same packaging.
Shade: The shade I have is playful peony. It looks like a gorgeous light pink shade but in real, it is a pink lavender color with cool undertones. This particular shade doesn't suit me at all, as it completely washes me out. So it's not for fair, medium and dusky skin tones. It might suit very fair skin tones.

Texture and Formula: The texture deserves all the attention. It is very smooth and has a balm like texture. It doesn't have any shimmer or sheen to it. It glides effortlessly on lips. It is not at all drying on lips, so you can easily skip a lip balm underneath. It moisturizes and hydrates the lips as well. I suffer from dry lips, but this lipstick has not intensified the dryness, nor does it settle into fine lines.
Staying Power: Since it has a creamy balm like texture, it does transfer and stays for a less time, say around 2 hours without eating and drinks. But I don't consider it to be a major con as you can re-apply it without worries. It doesn't look patchy, nor does it fade unevenly.

    1. Funny, Maybelline didn't put any creamy texture for the Indian versions at all.
