1. Bhagalpur Silk Saree


Bhagalpur region of Bihar, India is famous for its exquisite Bhagalpuri Silk Sarees. The silk used here is known as Ahimsa or non-violent silk due to the process of silk weaving used here where the silk worms are not harmed. The term 'Bandhani' is derived from the word Bandhan that means tying up. It is a highly-skilled tie- dye technique which involves dyeing a fabric which is tied tightly with a thread at several points, thus producing a variety of patterns like Leheriya, Mothra, Ekdali and Shikari depending on the manner in which the cloth is tied.

5. Uppada Sarees


Uppada town of Andhra Pradesh, India is famous for its Uppada Silk and Cotton handloom Sarees. These sarees are known for their intricate geometrical patterns, floral designs and exquisite embroidery. Pure silk and thin golden or zari threads are used

6. Bollywood Sarees


Bollywood and Mumbai are inseparable and many of the Bollywood actresses have become the style icons for women.
