We girls love taking photographs. I am sure there's not a single girl out there who would disagree on this fact. It's quite a labor to take tons of pictures and select a few because your skin isn't looking great in all of them. When we flip through the magazines and see how gorgeous the models and celebrities look in each and every random click, it surely makes us wonder - how can their skin look so gorgeous every time? No, every time it is not that super expensive DSLR that does the wonder. You can absolutely work on your skin to make your pictures look like a bomb and have that stunning photogenic look in the photographs. Now, you don't have to worry anymore and can get clicked anytime without getting conscious of your skin. Here are some favorite tips from us to make the skin look like a dream every time the camera clicks. Keep scrolling to know more details.

1. Moisturize The Skin

This is the Holy Grail tip that applies to each and every skin type. It doesn't matter whether you have dry skin or oily skin – immediately after washing your face apply a moisturizer to provide the skin with required hydration. Dry patches are the biggest hindrances in getting a flawless skin and if the skin is not moisturized properly, dry patches will automatically interfere with the makeup and destroy the whole look.

2. Use A Primer & Concealer

Primer is a great skin enhancer and provides a magical difference to your look. It minimizes the pores, controls the oil secretion for a longer duration and helps in adhering the makeup to your skin which in turn makes your skin naturally flawless even with heavy makeup as well. Concealer, on the other hand, helps hiding the minor discolorations, pigmentation or acne marks or scars. Try and use creamy or liquid concealer to achieve a more natural look.

3. Use Light To Medium Coverage Foundation

Heavy coverage foundation is quite prominent and makes you look cakey or unnatural. On the other hand, light to medium coverage gives you a natural soft look for the photographs. This has an advantage because you can build the coverage as much as you can with layering and can control the pigmentation with it. Most importantly, choose a foundation closest to your natural complexion with the right undertones. Do not go for any darker or lighter shades as it will only make your skin look worse. Renowned photographers use the light or medium foundation technique while photo shoots for skincare products to make the skin look natural as far as possible.

4. Flawless Blending

Blending is the best thing that can make the skin look spotless and natural. Be it a moisturizer, primer, concealer or foundation – all you have to do is blending. Invest in a good sponge or brush or simply use the warmth of your finger to blend it with the skin. Do not try to put an excess amount and blend onto the skin. Instead, take little amount at a time and slowly layer it. While blending, make sure the product is absorbed by the skin and doesn't accentuate fine lines or dry skin.

5. Stand Infront Of The Light Source

Do not stand below or against a light source as it will cast the weird shadows and your best features will get shaded instead of getting highlighted. Stand in front of a window or door or facing towards the sun. Standing against the light will only create a silhouette and highlight the background instead of your face.

6. Use A Soft Or Natural Light Source

Strong light tends to highlight imperfections on the skin and rather than making you look good, it makes your skin appear unnatural and unflattering. Stand away from the harsh light especially farther away from the light source to appear more natural. To make your skin look naturally glowing, always choose a soft and natural light which directly hits your face.

7. Camera Mode Is Important

It is extremely essentially to check the camera mode while clicking pictures. For portraits and close up pictures, always use the macro mode to enhance the skin as it naturally blurs out the backdrop. This brings more attention to your skin, making it look natural. Avoid flash as far as possible, which again, is a harsh light that does nothing but highlights the imperfections. Adjust the exposure to adapt the situations while clicking the pictures as well.

8. Use The Powder, Blush & Illuminator Sparingly

Blush and illuminators definitely adds a glamor to our skin but while clicking photographs it looks a bit excessive when overused. The camera, while clicking, adds up a minor illumination which is reflected on the skin and, therefore, an excess of highlighting makes the skin look unnatural. Apply the blush and illuminators under broad daylight to control the application and avoid going overboard with it. Powder should also be used carefully as it should not look cakey or blotchy and do not forget to dust off the excess.

9. Blotting Paper Helps

This is a sort of quick fix remedy for summers and works extremely well for oily skin. Our skin will get oily after a certain period of time and it is completely natural. Always keep a dry tissue or blotting paper handy to soak the oil from the face and T-zone before getting clicked. Thus, the skin in the photographs will look naturally dewy and not oily or sweaty.

10. Go For A White Background

A white background is the best choice while clicking photographs, especially portraits or close up shots. The white backdrop will help your face brighten up without changing your natural undertone. The camera can also balance the color easily with white background and thus your skin looks natural and gorgeous.
