Hey my favorite people! My days have become too hectic as my relatives had come down from UK. I had a great time with all of them. I am back on Diva Likes today with a new DIY. Many of us are obsessed with cleansers. I am one of them. We try all sorts of cleansers that come up in the market. But in the trap of these chemically laden expensive tubes, we forget the power of natural ingredients. Our kitchen is a storehouse of beauty. There is a remedy for almost each and every skin problem in our kitchen itself. But owing to our fast paced lives and laziness, we refrain using home remedies. Home remedies are the safest bet on our skin if we know about them. They are quick, inexpensive and are safe because of their natural properties. I am here with the DIY of homemade facial cleanser which is super quick and easy to prepare with the items readily available in our kitchen. I have also included the ingredient wise benefits if any of you have any doubts on them. Let's take a look at the preparation!

Ingredients Required:
  • Gram Flour/Besan
  • Rice Powder
  • Milk Powder
  • Turmeric

  • Gram flour is a common ingredient in our kitchen. It is used in a variety of Indian dishes. If used regularly on your face, you can achieve a glowing and problem free skin with this. It absorbs excess oil from the skin. That does not mean dry skin people cannot use it. If mixed with honey it works wonders for dry skin too. It can also be used to treat blemishes and sun tan when used on a daily basis.
  • Rice powder is obtained by grinding rice. You can even wash your face with the leftover water obtained after washing the rice. Rice contains anti-inflammatory agents which control breakouts and also promote skin repair. It helps in fighting the signs of aging and wrinkles too.
  • Milk contains lactic acid which helps in sloughing dead skin cells and restoring moisture of the skin. It keeps skin well hydrated and makes it supple like baby skin. Its fat and lactic acid content penetrates deep into the skin making it very smooth.
  • Turmeric is the super spice in many dishes. It has great benefits for our skin too. Turmeric is an inseparable ingredient used to beautify the glow of a bride in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. It is used in treating acne, blemishes, dark spots and even hyper pigmentation. I suggest using kasturi turmeric as it is non staining. Because of its high amount of anti-bacterial properties, it is used widely in treating acne.

Take all the ingredients in equal proportions and mix nicely.

Store it in an airtight container. As the ingredients used are in dry and powder form, this can be stored for as long as you wish.
Whenever you want to use the facial cleanser, just take a spoonful of the powder in hand and mix it with water to make a paste.

Apply on your face and massage in circular motion. Leave it on for 5 minutes and then wash it. Use it at least once a day.

I have been using this cleanser for almost a month and it has helped in fading a pimple mark I had. My skin feels super soft after using this and there is a glow in my face too. I request every one of you to try this super easy homemade facial cleanser to get a flawless skin. If you are thinking that this will stain your skin then you are wrong. If you use kasturi turmeric, it will not stain at all. This DIY is inexpensive and loaded with all natural benefits. Try for yourself and you will surely notice the difference!
