"Perfumes are powerful magicians, able to transport us through years that we've lived." This beautiful quote by Helen Keller is something that all of us totally agree to. It's amazing how an aroma or a fragrance can take you down the memory lanes filled with nostalgia. One such perfume that does this trick for me is Burberry The Beat. Each time I get a whiff of this perfume, I am reminded of many memories of bygone days in the streets of Mumbai. I got this perfume as a gift from my father. To commemorate my last day in Mumbai as an intern, my father decided to gift me a perfume as he knew about my penchant for classy fragrances. While trying on different perfumes, I finally laid my hands on Burberry. Having used Burberry Weekend earlier, I wanted to try something new from the same brand. The Beat was the first one that I tried on and instantly decided to welcome this wonderful gift. Since Burberry The Beat was a special gift on a special occasion, I have decided to review it for the sake of good old memories.

My Experience With Burberry The Beat Eau De Parfum:

Burberry has rendered a simple beige plaid into a covetable motif. The packaging of Burberry The Beat is really cute, classy and feminine. The Eau De Parfum bottle is like a hip flask in shape and etched on it is the signature Burberry plaid(checkered) design in an enlarged version. This bottle of perfume has a shiny silver colored cap along with an amulet dangling at the side. This is made of suede and metal with the brand name Burberry imprinted on it. The classy bottle was one of the reasons why I was so attracted to this perfume.

I totally love this fresh and floral fragrance with a subtle touch of citrus. However, I was slightly disappointed by its staying power. The fragrance becomes considerably lighter after 1-2 hours. Nevertheless my experience with Burberry The Beat has been very pleasant so far. I always wanted a fresh and clean feminine fragrance without the touch of fruitiness as I detest the bubblegum scented or strawberry fragranced perfumes. This one is completely different from the usual floral aroma. In fact this perfume is pretty popular with the male fraternity as they like the feminine and woody scent of this fragrance. The touch of youthfulness and energy makes this a suitable perfume for the youthful and young at heart gorgeous ladies. May be once this perfume gets over, I will try out some other fragrance for a while but will definitely come back to this after sometime.

Pros Of Burberry The Beat Eau De Parfum:
  • Cute and elegant packaging
  • Suitable for any occasion
  • Youthful and trendy without the strong strawberry candy smell
  • Adds an air of classiness with its clean floral woody fragrance
  • Light yet intense fragrance(not overbearing)

Cons Of Burberry The Beat Eau De Parfum:
  • Longevity is on the lower side
  • The smell can be a little too musky for some

Diva Likes Rating:

4/5

Final Note:

With its classy, feminine and youthful fragrance, The Beat by Burberry is one those perfumes which you can absolutely give a try without any regrets. Its sparkling floral woody fragrance with a hint of citrus is surely going to uplift your mood.

  2. Very well written review. The pictures go well with the description. I think I am going to pick this during my next perfume shopping. I am tired of sweet floral scents. Time to get some spice and wood.
