I am not much into cooking snacks and starters. I do manage to a certain extent but preparing snacks is something which I hardly enjoy doing. Coming to today's recipe Corn fritters, it happens to be my hubby's favorite snack. I always love making his favorite food items. So how can I leave this oppurtunity? I wanted to keep it simple as I was not very sure how this would turn out to be, given the fact that I was making it for the first time. But it came out really well and I was super happy. My husband was pleased with the turnout and this made me even more happier. Do check out the simple preparation process of the delicious snack Corn Fritters.

Ingredients:

  • Corn - 3 cups
  • Salt - As per taste
  • Ginger-garlic paste - 1 teaspoon
  • Green Chillies - 3
  • Coriander leaves - Few
  • Garam Masala - Pinch
  • Water - As required
  • Oil - For deep frying

Preparation:

Take corn, salt, ginger-garlic paste, green chillies, coriander leaves and garam masala in a blender and make it into a fine paste. If required add water and get the mix into the consistency as shown in the picture below.

Take the mix and make lemon size balls and keep them aside.
Take a pan to heat and add sufficient oils for the fritters to fry. Add the corn balls you have prepared and deep fry them till they are properly cooked.

Once done, remove them from heat and place them on napkins to remove excess oil.
Serve the delicious Corn Fritters.

Serving Options:

Serve the delicious Corn Fritters with tomato sauce or mint/coriander chutney.

  1. Snacking is not for me too. I made snacks mostly for guest and when there is a function at home. Its interesting to see how you used corn for that crunchy and crispy fritters. Yum when its out of the frying pan.
