As a child, you cannot wait until you grow up. But when you actually grow up, all you are left with is wonderful memories of childhood and you want to go back to that happy life with no tensions. I had some great reminisces of my childhood days. I am going to share one such cute memory which me and my parents keep talking about till date and have a hearty laugh.
When I was in school, there was a strict rule that every student must come with two braids tied up with white ribbons. That was probably the age when I was about to enter my teens and started becoming slightly conscious about how I look. I can say I was mad about each and every particular of what I was wearing and how I am looking. My mom is a working woman but still she used to squeeze out ample time to help me get ready to school, study, do my homework and spend quality time with me. She is great in multi-tasking, which she does even today. But back then, all I was concerned is how was I looking rather than how much effort my mom is putting in for me.

Daily morning, before going to school, I used to have a fight with my mom for sure. Wonder why? There comes my braid story! My mom used to apply oil to my hair nicely, do a partition in the middle, made two braids folding them up with ribbons. Once she was done, I used to go in front of the mirror and by using both my hands used to measure if the partition was exactly in the middle or not. Wanna know how I used to do that? I used to measure from the partition till my left ear and then again from the partition till my right ear. And most of the times it was not equal, there used to be atleast an inch of difference and that used to make me so disappointed, irritated and what not! Can you imagine, how 1 inch of difference could create so much trouble? I know its funny but for me it was something very important at that point.

I used to fight with my mom daily saying I want the partition exactly in the middle and used to complain she is not braiding properly. My parents used to convince me saying it is fine and that I can tie braids on my own once I grow up. They used to tell me to let it go for now. But still I was not convinced. I used to try things on my own and used to make it even worse. Then mom had to tie the braids all over again. Literally, every day due to my stupidity she had to do my braids twice. Today, when I look back, I can only laugh at it and my parents still tease me about this madness of mine.

The next thing which I used to hate is application of oil and massaging the hair. My mom used to do this every Sunday and I hated it then. But still she insisted me on applying oil and told me that it is good for hair and helps in hair growth.

Once I was in college, I stopped applying oil and taking care of my hair. Then I got a job and shifted to another place. That is when I started neglecting hair care routine. Slowly, due to pollution and other factors, I experienced terrible hair fall and was quite worried about it. I also had bad hair texture due to severe split ends.

I asked my mom for advice and she told me to follow the below things:
  • Oil you hair thrice in a week before taking headbath.
  • Do not comb your hair when it is wet.
  • Never share your comb with others. Always use a separate comb for yourself.
  • When you are going out, always cover your hair using a scraf.
  • Use a best shampoo and conditioner which suits your hair and helps in hair growth.
Now coming to the best shampoo and conditioner, do you want to know which one helps in putting an end to your hair problems? And the answer is....

Split-ends mean damaged hair. The Dove Split End Rescue Shampoo is a part of the Dove Damage Solutions range, specially formulated to help bring split-ends together. It has fiber actives that work on the deepest level of your hair, to give you up to 4x lesser split-ends. Follow with New Dove Split End Rescue Conditioner for best results.
After switching many shampoos, I totally rely on Dove Shampoo and Dove Conditioner as my hair fall has reduced drastically, split ends problem has disappeared and my hair is silky and shiny. Do try Dove Split End Rescue Shampoo & Conditioner to put at end to your hair problems.
Today, I can braid my hair any way I want and still get away happily with it. Today, when I go to my mom’s place, I always ask her to apply oil to my hair and braid it. I love it today as much as I hated it then as I know it helps my hair growth.
