My Experience With Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation:
Packaging: Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation comes in a rectangular built glass bottle with a screw cap. The mouth of the bottle is wide open and has no nozzle, pump or dispenser whatsoever. This reminds me of the packaging of the Studio Fix Fluid Foundation by MAC. It is extremely difficult to carry and over the passage of time, the mouth becomes extremely clumsy and you have to be very careful. Plus, carrying a glass bottle is another job altogether. Overall, the packaging didn't impress me at all.
Shade: I first bought the shade 128 warm nude which has an abundance of yellow undertones and will suit fair warm undertones well. However, that was winter and I was not very tanned. But eventually, as the winter passed and I came back from a tour, I was at least a shade or two darker. It was when the foundation started looking a bit ashy and I went and bought a shade darker i.e. 310. It has slight orangish undertones but when mixed well with 128, gives me my exact skin tone. You know when you get the perfect match for a foundation, it is like half the battle won. The shade range is impressive but I would like to see some more yellow toned and deeper toned foundation shades that would be perfect for Indian skin tones.
Texture: The consistency of the foundation is liquid but not something runny like water. I can say it is of thick liquid consistency that spreads well on the face. I generally apply with fingers and then use a sponge in a push and bounce motion to blend it thoroughly. It blends well but takes some time. Being a matte foundation, it requires well-hydrated skin underneath to look flawless and natural. It generally doesn't accentuate the fine lines or dry patches but hydration is important. The oil control power of the foundation is not that impressive but manages decently. After few hours, the T-Zone gets a bit shiny than usual. Also, the foundation has the tendency to oxidize which is a big con for me.
Coverage and Finish: The coverage is medium to buildable. However, if you have scars or acne issues, you need a corrector or concealer underneath for sure. It doesn't give whitish cast on the skin unless you choose a wrong shade or any streaky finish which I really like. The finish is satin matte and looks slight dewy kind once blended. You can use a nice setting power to take off the satin look. However, for a dewy look, you can also simply leave it like that.
Longevity: The foundation lasts on my skin for around 4 hours without touch ups. For summers and considering the price range, I would say it is good if not excellent. If fades off slowly with an even finish.
