Our skin is delicate and with time dead cells accumulate on the surface clogging the pores and causing various blemishes and imperfections. Therefore, it is important to use a proper facial scrub to eliminate the dead cells, resulting in the rejuvenation of the skin. Scrubbing is an important beauty routine to be followed in order to keep the skin healthy and glowing. It helps to improve the skin texture by cleaning the pores and provides a smooth surface for the application of makeup. Even when you come home after a long, tiring day, a simple scrubbing will brighten your tired skin within few minutes. As I have oily acne prone skin, I try to minimize my scrubbing routine to twice a week. Without scrubbing, I feel my skincare isn't complete. My recent haul included the Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Scrub which is ideal for my skin type. Let us see the product in detail.

About Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Scrub:

Specially formulated to give you clear, problem-free skin, this scrub works with a dual exfoliation and purifying action. Neem, well-known for its purifying and antibacterial properties, kills problem-causing bacteria. Combined with exfoliating Apricot granules, it gently scrubs away blackheads, dead skin cells, and embedded impurities, leaving your skin, soft, clear, refreshed and problem-free.

My Experience With Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Scrub:

Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Scrub comes in a white colored tube with a green colored flip open cap. The packaging is basic, simple yet sturdy and easy to carry. It is travel-friendly without any fuss. The scrub is light green in color with minute coarse granules for scrubbing. The scrub has the consistency of the cream which is not runny at all and, therefore, you require a little amount that will suffice for one usage. It has the smell of refreshing neem which I found to be quite pleasant for an herbal scrub.

The granules of this scrub are slightly coarse as opposed to regular for oily skin, but it doesn't hurt the skin at all. All you have to be is gentle while massaging the product onto the skin in a circular motion. The scrub effectively removes dirt and dead cells from the skin, making the pores slightly minimized and I am left with soft and supple skin afterward. Even though I don't have blackheads, there are fine whiteheads, which are successfully removed by this product. After the scrubbing, you would notice there is a natural glow on the skin as it is completely cleared.

The scrub effectively removes all the dirt and grime from the face as well and my skin doesn't feel stretchy or dry. It just has the right kind of hydration, but dry skin will have to moisturize post wash. It contains effective herbal ingredients like neem, apricot, and turmeric that are good for making skin clean and clear and also keeps the acne problems at bay. The product, however, has parabens, which is slightly disappointing for an herbal brand. It is hypo-allergic and dermatologically tested and I would surely recommend it.

Pros Of Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Scrub:

  3. I like using their neem face pack as a scrub as well. Use it as a pack and then scrub it before washing off. But then again, it is a bit harsh so you need to use a gentle touch.
