Hello, lovelies. Hope you all are doing well. My beautiful city is getting ready for the upcoming Durga Puja festival with a week-long ritual and celebrations. Every nook and corner are veiled with fairy lights as if the angels themselves bestowed their lights upon it. Coming to the makeup, I am back with the review of Coloressence Compact Powder which I have received in my latest haul. The compact powder is great for oil control and on the go touch-ups when you are in a hurry. Though loose powders work great, compacts are much more travel-friendly. So without wasting time, let us get into the details of the product.

My Experience With Coloressence Compact Powder CP-4 Pinkish Beige:

The compact powder comes in a lightweight transparent plastic packaging. The casing has a separate compartment below the powder for the mirror and sponge. Overall, it is quite a decent packaging and easy to carry for touch ups as well.

There are four shades available for this product out of which I went for pinkish beige. This is the closest to my skin tone and surprisingly the powder has a faint beige-yellow undertone. The yellow undertone helps a lot for my skin tone. Though the shade selection is slightly limited, if you are of fair to medium complexion with a yellow undertone, you might be lucky in getting the perfect match. To be honest, the texture isn't very impressing. It is soft and smooth but slightly difficult to blend in. While blending, I really find it problematic as it remains uneven and slightly grainy. Hence, I end up looking chalky. The coverage is medium and is not buildable. Even if you try, you will end up looking like a ghost.

The powder works great for oily skin and mattifies the skin completely. It is a pro for some but for dry skin people it is a huge con. If your skin is not hydrated properly, it will end highlighting the dry areas and fine wrinkles on the skin. I do not have many pores, but even then this product doesn't help much.
The compact keeps my skin oil free for around 3-4 hours which is pretty good for the humid climate and sometimes I prefer for touch ups after blotting the face. The applicator puff is pretty useless and, therefore, I always use my TBS Kabuki to blend the powder.

Pros Of Coloressence Compact Powder CP-4 Pinkish Beige:
  • Nice packaging with in-built mirror and puff.
  • Four shades available.
  • Great for oily skin.
  • Controls sweat and gives a smooth coverage
  • 100% vegetarian and contains no animal ingredients.
  • Contains aloe vera extract, rose oil and clove oil.
  • Reasonable price.

Cons Of Coloressence Compact Powder CP-4 Pinkish Beige:
  • The texture isn't impressive.
  • Huge disappointment for dry skin.
  • Pigmentation is not buildable.

Diva Likes Rating:

3/5

Final Note:

Overall this is a nice mineral makeup for beginners but if you're looking for a high-quality compact with coverage and smooth finish, I would say skip this.

  1. I always look for good pigmentation when buying a compact. Seems like an average one for me!
