GITS - Product Review (Onion Bhajia Mix, Dal Vada Mix, Rava Idli Mix, Rasmalai Mix)
Ever since I moved to US, the one thing I totally rely upon is the GITS instant mixes. When I don...
GITS Onion Bhajia Mix:
Who doesn't love Onion Bhajia? This is one of my favorite snacks. GITS has 3 simple steps to prepare the Onion Bhajia. Take the content and mix it with water. Place tablespoons of batter individually and fry till light brown in oil. Drain excess oil and serve.
Verdict: This is a true savior specially when you want to prepare a tasty snack quickly. This is one of the best snack mix GITS offers.
GITS Dal Vada Mix:
I have tried this recipe on my own without using any mix previously and it came out well. But whenever I couldn't afford the time to prepare the recipe from scratch, I guess this is the best option available. Mix the contents of pack with water, chopped onions, green chillies and coriander leaves. Place tablespoonfuls of batter individually and fry it in hot oil. Drain excess oil and serve.
Verdict: The Dal Vada is delicious and easy to prepare. The only negative thing is that it absorbs lot of oil. So make sure you drain excess oil before you eat.
GITS Rava Idli Mix:
The best way to start your morning is to have a wonderful breakfast. Isn't it? Mix contents of this pack in water and add chopped coriander leaves. Grease the idli moulds with oil and add the batter. Cover and put it on steam for 15 mins. It is as simple as that and a wonderful tasty rava idli is ready.
Verdict: Perfect mix for a healthy morning breakfast. This instant mix is an instant hit at my place.
GITS Rasmalai Mix:
I was really curious to try this out as Rasmalai is one of my favorite sweets. There were two pouches in the mix. One is for the rasmalai and the other is for the syrup. Prepare the dough with Pouch A and make them into discs. Boil them in hot water for 10 mins and transfer them to sugar syrup. Empty the pouch B contents in milk and heat it. Transfer the rasmalai in the milk syrup and it is ready!
Verdict: I was slightly disappointed with this. Everything was fine except that the rasmalai was not boiled properly. I wish I would have placed it a little longer, may be for some 20 mins. Apart from that everything else was good with the mix.
Have you tried any of the GITS products? If yes, what is your favorite among them?
