This is my mom’s recipe. It will be tasty and flavourful. I like its mild colour. It is easy and sim...
- Besan flour - One-fourth cup
- Sugar - 1 cup
- Ghee - 4 tablespoons
- Cashewnuts - Few
- Water - Three-fourth cup
Mix sugar with water in a thick bottomed pan and bring to boil.
Mix the besan flour with one-fourth cup of water without any lumps. When the sugar is fully dissolved and forms the syrup (before one string consistency), keep the flame to medium. Add the besan mixture by stirring continuously for about ten minutes.
When the mixture thickens add the ghee and stir for another five minutes. Now, the halwa won’t stick to the pan.Garnish with cashewnuts and serve. This serves two.
