Hello, everyone! Hope you are doing well. The compact is a dear friend to every girl with oily skin and I am no different in that matter. I love carrying little compacts for mid-day touch ups on top of BB/CC creams. My T-zone often gets shiny and requires powder to control the shine. There are some days when I simply apply sunscreen and moisturizer and layer the compact on the top to get a sheer coverage. This time, I received the Gala Of London Pearl Sheer Finish with SPF in my haul and have been using this quite often. Read on to know about the product in detail.

About Gala Of London Pearl Sheer Finish With SPF Natural Glow:

My Experience With Gala Of London Pearl Sheer Finish With SPF Natural Glow:

The product comes in a round casing of navy blue sturdy packaging with click shut lid. It is further enclosed in a thin cardboard box which was very flimsy when I received the product. Gala Of London Pearl Sheer Finish compact has an inbuilt mirror with a white thin cloth puff for an applicator. The packaging is overall good but nothing very impressive at all if you ask me. It is travel-friendly and light weight as well.

The puff given is very basic and can only be used for retouching. I generally apply the compact with a kabuki brush and retouch it with the puff on-the-go. It picks up the right amount of product and doesn't cake it up on my face. Overall, it is a good one for beginners. Gala Of London Pearl Sheer Finish comes in four shades and I received the natural glow one. The shade has slight yellow tones and thankfully matches my skin tone perfectly. It doesn't look ashy or leaves any white cast on the skin even though it has talc in it. The shade is a perfect match for NC40-42 skin tones with yellow or neutral undertones.

The texture of the compact is creamy smooth and looks very natural. Although it claims to have "pearl finish", it is completely matte. The texture is good and will work best for normal, oily and combination skin tones and isn't very convincing for dry skin. While application, it doesn't look patchy or clings on to dry patches. It absorbs oil nicely but doesn't prevent the skin from getting oily very efficiently. Though it claims to have SPF, they haven't mentioned the power. Therefore, you cannot afford to skip sun protection. The compact stays really good on the skin, around 6-7 hours in winter when my skin doesn't get very oily. I believe the staying power will decrease in summer. I also tried an artificial oil testing on the skin to judge its competency and I saw how nicely the compact absorbed the oil. The price tag is affordable and works really well.

  2. I have used this one long ago and it was good at that time also...

  3. This sounds nice and quite amazingly affordable. But in the swatch the shade looks rather light for NC42.
