My Experience With Maybelline Color Show Glitter Mania Red Carpet (604):

Shade: The shade Red Carpet is not a true red. It is a red color with pink undertones or you can call it a pinkish red. The shade is beautiful and there is no doubt about it. Red Carpet shade tends to fade away a bit faster than other glitter mania shades. There is a presence of golden shimmers but there are no hexagon glitters unlike the other glitter nail paints.
Texture & Consistency: The lacquer forms a sand textured matte finish once it dries. The texture is not at all rough in case you run your nails on the skin. The consistency is neither too thick nor too runny.

Applicator Brush: The applicator brush is quite average and if you don't apply carefully, there's a high chance that it can form streaks.
Pigmentation: The color payoff is absolutely wonderful as the nail polish comes opaque in a single coat. With double stroke, it might darken the red color and avoid fading.
Staying Power: The staying power is good. It stayed on my nails for about 8-9 days without chipping and after that it started chipping. But then the chipping is very negligent. One issue I faced with this glitter paint is, the color starts fading after a week or so.

Pros Of Maybelline Color Show Glitter Mania Red Carpet (604):
  • A bright red nail lacquer with pink undertones.
  • The presence of golden shimmer makes it look beautiful.
  • It has the right consistency.
  • Great color pay off which comes opaque with just one coat.
  • It has a staying power of 8 days.

Cons Of Maybelline Color Show Glitter Mania Red Carpet (604):
  • I expected the red to be true red color .
  • It starts chipping on the edges after few days.
  • The color starts fading after a week or so.

Diva Likes Rating:

4/5

Final Note:

As I said earlier, I am not a fan of red but I guess I can wear this nail paint with ethnic wear. On the contrary, my best friend loved this color. So basically, it depends on each individual. As far as I am concerned, I shall utilize this nail color to create some nail arts which I am sure will look pretty good.
