Raw Tamarind Rasam / Pacchi Pulusu Recipe

- Tamarind piece - large lemon sized ball
- Water - 4 cups
- Onions - 1(chopped)
- Green Chillies - 1(chopped)
- Turmeric powder - Half teaspoon
- Salt - As per taste
- Red Chilli powder - 1 tablespoon
- Oil - 2 tablespoons
- Mustard seeds - 1 teaspoon
- Urad dal - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
- Coriander leaves - 1 bunch(finely chopped)
- Curry leaves - Few
Take tamarind and soak it in water for half and hour. Once done, squeeze it and extract the juice out of the tamarind and remove the tamarind piece.
Add onions, green chillies, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt to it.
Take a pan to heat and add oil to it. Add mustard seeds, urad dal and cumin seeds along with curry leaves. Wait till they pop and add coriander leaves and remove from flame. Add this to the raw tamarind mix bowl.
Mix well and the delicious raw tamarind rasam is now ready to be served.
Serve with hot rice and enjoy the raw tamarind rasam.
