Time for a quick, easy and healthy dosa's made out of wheat flour. Spicy Wheat Flour Dosa does not require fermentation or prior preparation. Moreover, ingredients are very basic and available in every pantry. So, you can make it just whenever you want – a quick and easy recipe. This dosa is a really soft and is very healthy too.

Ingredients:
  • Wheat Flour - 1 cup
  • Red Chilli powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - One-fourth teaspoon
  • Onions - 1 tablespoon(chopped)
  • Tomatoes - 1 tablespoon(chopped)
  • Grated Carrot - 1 tablespoon
  • Coriander leaves - 1 tablespoon(chopped)
  • Green Chillies - 2(finely chopped)
  • Salt - As per taste
  • Oil - 2 teaspoons
  • Water - 2 cups

Preparation:

Mix all the dry ingredients and veggies in a bowl.

Gradually add water to make a thin batter. Ensure no lumps when forming the batter. The consistency of the batter should be thinner than the normal dosa batter. If you like thick dosa's, let the batter be thick or if you like crispy dosa's you have make the batter thin.

Let the batter rest for 30 minutes. This makes the dosa's better. You can try making it even without resting.
Heat a griddle(use a non-stick tawa for this dosa so it doesn’t form a sticky mess). Grease the tawa with few drops of oil. When the tawa is hot, turn the heat to medium. Pour a ladle full of batter and spread like a dosa. You can swirl the griddle around to spread the batter or pour the batter from a height of about 6 inches.

Grease the uncooked side and the edges with a few drops of oil. Allow to cook for a couple of minutes on each side while turning over.

The dosa is ready when browned on both sides. They can also be made as mini-dosa's for bite-sized dosa's.

Tips:

You can include any vegetable you like in the batter .

Serving Options:

Serve the dosa's with any kind of chutney or traditional chutney powder.
