- Semiya - 1 cup
- Water - 2 cups
- Onions - 2
- Green Chillies / Red Chillies - 2
- Curry leaves - Few
- Oil - 2 teaspoons
- Salt - As per taste
- Mustard seeds, urad dal and bengal gram - For seasoning
Heat oil in a wok and add mustard seeds, urad dal and bengal gram. Fry till the dals turn golden brown. Then add onions, red chillies and curry leaves. Fry till the onions turn light brown.
Add semiya to it and roast for a minute till semiya changes its colour.
Add water and salt.
Cook till the water evaporates. Delicious vermicelli upma is ready..
