This festive season I wanted to prepare some sweet so that I can take it to my workplace and share it with my colleagues. All I was looking for is something which was quick to prepare and also which tastes great. I grabbed this recipe from my mom and tried it out for the very first time. And yes, it came out perfect and did fetch me good number of compliments. Here is the sweet sweet dish for you all.

Ingredients:
  • Semolina/Ravva/Kesari - 3 cups
  • Water - 5 cups
  • Ghee - Half cup
  • Sugar - 3 cups
  • Cardamom Powder - 1 tablespoon
  • Cashew nuts - 10
  • Raisins - 10
  • Yellow Color - A pinch

Preparation:

Take a pan to heat and add half of the ghee. Once it melts, add semolina and fry till it turns light brown in color.

Add water and keep stirring continuously in low flame. Once the mixture comes close add color by dissolving it in a tablespoon of water.

Mix it well and add sugar to it. Keep stirring till the sugar melts completely.

Add the remaining ghee and cardamom powder to this and mix. Wait till the sweet comes close.

Fry raisins and cashew nuts in a tablespoon of ghee and add them to the sweet. Mix and serve it.

Serving Options:

Serve the delicious Semolina Fudge with vanilla ice cream and satisfy your sweet tooth.
