Rice pudding is a dish which is prepared across the world. In the Southern part of India, this dish is prepared on special occassions / festivals. In telugu, it is reffered as "Paramannam". This has been my favourite since my childhood. This is the first time I prepared it on my own and hence this is on my blog. Hope you all enjoy reading this recipe.

Ingredients:

Rice - 1 cup
Milk - 4 cups
Jaggery - 2 cups(powdered)
Ghee - 4 tablespoon
Cardamom - 4(powdered seeds only)
Cashews - 2 tablespoon

Preparation:

Take a pan to heat. Add milk and rice to it.
Cook the rice completely in milk and wait till it is cooked.
Once you see it in semi-solid form, add jaggery to it and cook on low flame.
Once the jaggery melts completely wait till the rice-jaggery mixture thickens and comes together with a solid look.
Add ghee to this along with cardamom powder and mix thoroughly. Remove it from heat.
You can also add cashews and raisins for good taste.
The delicious rice pudding can now be served.

Serving Options:

You can serve it as it is or keep it in a refrigerator and serve after an hour.
